Recovery Thanksgiving -38_edited.jpg

Voices of Recovery San Mateo County (VORSMC) is a nonprofit organization (501c3) founded in 2009, dedicated to advocating for and supporting the recovery community—individuals overcoming drug and/or alcohol addictions. VORSMC believes that hope is a crucial catalyst for recovery, fueled by the leadership, peer support, and personal experiences of those who have triumphed over addiction.

Despite our modest operating budget, VOR has demonstrated remarkable success in helping individuals achieve and maintain recovery through Wellness Recovery Action Planning (WRAP®). WRAP® is an evidence-based program that empowers individuals to understand, pursue, and sustain their wellness and recovery goals. With a team of eight full-time and four part-time employees, VOR includes twelve Certified WRAP® Facilitators, Six Peer Support Specialists, and Seven Advanced Level WRAP® Facilitators who provide support preventing relapse, promoting long-term recovery, and assisting family members impacted by addiction.
